For as long as I can remember, we have been going to Phillies games around the 4th of July to see fireworks. They are always amazing fireworks and the baseball isn't bad either. I'm hoping that Nolan will get to enjoy this tradition too. Thanks to Grandpa, Nolan got to go to his first Phillies game. It was so much fun!! Nolan did great. He watched the game for a while with Grandma and Grandpa and then fell asleep around the 7th inning. The game ended up going into extra innings. You could feel the tension with all the parents in the stadium just waiting for the game to end so their kids could see the fireworks and get home. Finally in the 12th inning, the Phillies hit a home run and we won the game. Thanks to Bennett, who loaned Nolan his head phones, Nolan slept through the whole fireworks show. Maybe next year he will be able to stay awake for the fireworks.
