Studly

Nolan had his four month check up today. All is well. In fact, at one point, the doctor called Nolan a stud, and then asked him what his parents thought about raising a stud, or something to that effect.

Bragging? Yes, I guess so. But hey, it's my first kid.

And apparently he's huge, or huge-ish. I'm talking upper 80's in terms of percentile for height. Mommy won that bet. Daddy was way off.

The little man had to get two shots today too, which he took like a champ. And by taking it like a champ, I mean he cried, let mom comfort him, and fell asleep.

After his nap, we decided to take advantage of the 'cooler' weather and went for a walk on the trail. I'm a sucker for being outside on cool days, although after a 30+ minute walk, I was a little warm. I think my obsession with cooler weather and my desire for the change of seasons have both subconsciously made me think that it is colder outside than it really is. Guess I didn't need to 'layer up.' (Don't worry, that was a joke). Eventually all of the energy Nolan was exerting got the better of him.

Our next adventure? Rice cereal. Truth be told (although apparently not to the doctor), we already gave it to him once, and he housed it...and then threw it all up. Can't wait to give it to him on a more regular basis. Something new. Something fun. Something else for my studly kid to take on.
